There’s nothing better than curling up with a hot cup of coffee, a ball of natural fibers and casting on a new project. When designing, I imagine generations enjoying a hand-knitted heirloom with its one-of-a-kind yet classic look. We pour a lot of ourselves into these wonderfully rewarding projects and the thought of my work having meaning to the next generation is inspiring.

Over the last 15 years, I’ve been blessed to have completed many rewarding and inspiring knitting projects. I’ve posted some on my Ravelry profile. I’m relatively new to designing my own patterns. After purchasing a yarn shop in Wimberley, Texas, I was inspired to start designing patterns for classes and our regional annual yarn crawl. As a shop owner, I was thrown deeper into the wonderful world of knit design. Now, I have left the yarn shop business to pursue design full-time and haven’t looked back.

I love to take a modern twists on classic styles. Textural stitches and cables are common in my designs, but I’m constantly discovering and learning new techniques. I’m always inspired by nature and uncommon objects. However, the fall season and holidays are my passion. There’s something about the cooler weather, changing colors, gourds, falling leaves, homemade culinary delights, pumpkin spice and cozy settings that spark my creativity.
